- Imperial gallons per minute (Imp.gpm) or
- US gallons per minute ( US gpm).

here to see illustration)
13. What does total head mean?Simply put, it is the sum of the pressure required to use the pump and the pressure drops in the system.
(I.e H = h1 +h2 + pressure across) (Click

17. How large a generator do I need? The size of a generator depends on what appliances you want to power. Generators are rated by the amount of watts produced. Larger generators produce more watts and therefore more appliances can be connected. It is best to have a load analysis carried to determine the right generator size for your needs. Contact us for assistance.
18. Where should I put the generator? It should be placed in a very well ventilated room; since generators emit carbon monoxide, an odorless gas that can be deadly. Also avoid running it near flammable materials, and have it protected from rain.
19. How long should a petrol generator be turned off before refueling? The generator's engine becomes hot while running. You should let it cool about 15 minutes before refilling the gas tank to avoid the risk of splashing gasoline on the hot engine
20. How do I determine the wattage requirements of a specific tool or appliance?Electrical items generally state the related amperage (and sometimes wattage) on the data plate. If amps are shown, simply multiply the current by the voltage of the equipment to get wattage.
Example: For a flood light with a rating of 5 amps at 240 volts, multiplying 5 amps by 240 volts gives 1200 watts for normal operation.
21. Can I install the unit myself or does someone else need to?It is recommended that you have your Generator installed by a licensed electrical contractor. Improper installation could void your warranty.
22. Is a service contract for Generators available?Yes!

23. Does a generator need maintenance?Yes! The engine oil and filters (Oil, air, & fuel) will need to be changed once in a while depending upon frequency of use. A schedule of what requires to be done is provided in the operator’s manual supplied with each generator.
